Picture of the Week: Snow Day

Perry was tired Monday and was not excited to wake up for school. Then I told her she was going to Grammy's for the day, and she was all about it.

While it seemed like it snowed everywhere else in the valley, we were left out. We did have some pretty snow covered mountains surrounding our house, though.

The view on my way to work with the sunrise was gorgeous.

That evening, Perry fell asleep early while watching her iPad, and she kept whimpering if I tried to take it, without even opening her eyes.

I finally got it away from her, and she slept through the night.

Wednesday night, we finally got some snow at our house. It was late, but this is a rare occasion for us, so I let the girls go out and play in it for a few minutes.

The next morning, the girls were bummed to discover that they weren't getting a snow day. We had some pretty snow capped trees and all the roofs in our neighborhood were covered, which made for a fun drive to school.

It continued to snow all day while I was at work. It never really stuck until about twenty minutes before it was time for me to leave. Of course, we got it on the ground when I had to drive in it.

The sticky snow followed me home, and the girls were so excited to get outside and play in it.

Perry was more interested in splashing in the puddles and went through two pairs of boots before I found her some of Grace's old snow boots to wear.

The Sebastians joined us out front, and the kids had a blast throwing snowballs, jumping on the snow covered trampoline, and making a baby snowman.

Friday, the school district called a snow day, and it ended up being like sixty and sunny all day. We hung out upstairs, and Perry talked Daddy into painting her nails.

We went to the Gerfy's to watch the Knights game, and Perry and Amelia played their favorite game - dress up! They are the cutest together, and I love their little friendship.

We went to the Coffee Cup Saturday morning for breakfast, and Perry and Daddy cheers'd with their coffee and chocolate milk.

Perry got ready for bed, and her hair was a hot mess. She gave Toodles kisses and squeezed him until he ran away.

Sunday morning, Daddy took the girls on a hike behind Black Mountain. They had so much fun climbing all over the place and showing off their muscles. Daddy said Perry was so big and didn't complain one time.

That night, we had dinner at Grandpa and Grandma Espejo's to celebrate Elisha's birthday, and the kids all beat up Uncle Elijah. Happy Birthday, Elish!

That's all for now!

See ya next week :)
