Last Week...

...we went to Grandma and Grandpa Espejo's for enchiladas on Tuesday, since Uncle Elijah was in town. Charley had fun cracking nuts, while the rest of us took turns holding Paxton. He was giving me some serious googly eyes and lots of smiles.

...after dinner, Charley and Presley snacked on cereal. These two are going to be trouble when they're older.

...Grandpa helped Gracie do her homework.

...Isaac took the girls to Grace's soccer practice, where Charley practiced on her own and looked precious in her jacket and boots.

...I got my nails done all fall-like.

...we watched the Rebels beat Cal Poly. The girls noticed Hey Reb on the steps in front of our suite, so we ran down to say "hello". Charley was scared at first, but she wanted a picture after Grace took one. Then she asked to go see him the rest of the night.

...Grace had her soccer game Saturday morning, and the weather was fabulous. The Espejos came to watch, and she didn't play well, because she was embarrassed that she'd mess up. This girl is something else.

...they took her back to their house and played with the girls at the park, while Isaac and I went to an ultrasound where we found out that we'll be having another girl!

...we picked the girls up and went to Montesano's for dinner to celebrate. Isaac needed two glasses of Chianti for himself after that news.

...we went home and shared some Rosato that our neighbor brought over to congratulate us. Thanks, Misty!

...Sunday morning, we went to Costco and bought a new Christmas tree. Ours was almost eight years old, and it took us hours to figure out how to connect the lights each year. Last year, half of them were out, and we had to string lights on our pre-lit tree. I didn't have the energy for that this year, so we just got a new one. Luckily for us, we got to Costco right when it opened, because they told us that they were only getting four of these nine footers in, and people had been asking for them for weeks. They arrived that morning, and we snagged a beauty. The lights automatically connect when you place the next section on, and it's so quick and easy. I'm in love. The girls had a blast decorating it for the rest of the day. I had a blast rearranging all of the ornaments that they put on it.

...we decided to make a quick run to Krispy Kreme for some doughnuts, and Charley passed out as soon as we got in the car.

See you next week!
