Spring Chickens
Saturday was Jeremy's birthday.
Since Isaac and I don't go out very much, he came up with something really fun and asked Jeremy and Kasie if they were up for it. Of course they were (and so were a few of our other friends)!
Grandma and Grandpa Espejo watched the kiddos while we went out to celebrate.
We started out at Hofbrauhaus which was crazy packed. Apparently, it was the opening day of Oktoberfest, and Siegfried and Roy were there to help celebrate, too! People were standing on tables, dancing, and chugging beer all around us:
It was awesome and so much fun!
I'm not much of a beer drinker, but when in Rome...
We sang Sweet Caroline and did the "Chicken Dance":
(Bah bah bah)
Everyone at our table got spanked (except Frannie and I...we're wusses). These are the best shots:
After dinner, we headed over to the Hard Rock to see what other trouble we could get into.
We found a bar with a DJ, and I ended up dancing on tables:
Kasie and I wore fancy shoes...no wonder my feet hurt so badly the next day:
You know it was a fun night when we take a picture and each of us pulls out the ol' duck face:
We got a ride home from Matt, stopped at McDonalds, and picked our kids up at three o'clock in the morning. (I'm not one to leave them places overnight. I like having them with me.)
It was super fun when they were up at eight in the morning, too!
I love my kids more than life itself, but every once in a while, it's nice to have some grown up fun. We had a blast, and it took two days to fully recover. As Kasie said, "we ain't no spring chickens anymore."
Happy Birthday, Jeremy!!
