...we went shopping again and Grace got some Wetzel's Pretzel Bites for being so good (but let's be honest...this kid is ALWAYS good when we go shopping because she loves to shop!):
...Grace made up a new game. She hides Olivia and says, "uh-oh" and then says, "Olivia" like she can't find her. Crazy kid:
...we went to dinner with Isaac's mom and cousins that were in town from Virginia. Grace tried ranch for the first time and made a new friend:
One of our favorite fall traditions is our day trip to Staheli Farm in Utah. It's always during soccer season, so we find a Saturday when the girls have early games and drive up afterwards. This year, we got Zac and Stef to join the rest of our group. The girls were so excited to spend the day with Presley and Paxton at one of their favorite places. We got there in the early afternoon, and the weather was beautiful. It's always hit or miss with it being hot or cold, but we lucked out this year. The kids ran straight for the corn slides, and jumped right in. Brother wasn't the biggest fan. Probably due to this corn kernel that we found lodged in between his toes afterwards. Perry, on the other hand, loved it. The big girls played in the club house, while the little ones slid into the piles of corn over and over again. We spotted Wickadee Witch and her friends singing on the stage, so the kids went over to watch her for...
...Grace went to lunch with Grandma Lisa, and Uncle Zac came along and colored with her: ...we made some organic dinners including Panko crusted chicken cutlets with zucchini. Surprisingly, Grace loved it: ...I caught her and Daddy sleeping the same way: (cutie pies!) ...Grace got her first taste of sushi: She also learned how to slurp noodles: ...we went to breakfast at our usual Saturday spot, Marie Callender's: ...we spent a few hours playing at the park . ...we all colored together at Grace's table. Her favorite thing in the whole world is to have both Mommy and Daddy sitting next to her coloring: See ya next week :)
If I said that we've been busy lately, it might be the understatement of the century. My sister got married last Saturday, so of course Mother's Day would follow it up on Sunday. Since that whole side of the family was in town, we spent the morning with them hanging out and having brunch. We wanted to take the girls to Bonnie Springs before it gets too hot, so we decided to squeeze time in with all of the other moms at the same time and invited them to come along. We knew we had a fun day ahead of us when we arrived and were greeted by a peacock (or a kee-cock as Grace calls it) and a town Sheriff that tried to talk Isaac into a hanging. The girls were excited to check the place out. Our first stop was lunch at Bonnie Springs Ranch Restaurant for their delicious barbecue and veggies. They had a horse outside, but it just kept eating our quarters, so the girls just pretended to ride it. Just outside the restaurant is a little pond full ...
