I am Thankful

This year for Thanksgiving, we planned on having dinner with Isaac's mom a week before the holiday. This way, we'd only have two dinners on Thursday and would be able to head up to the cabin that night.

Grandma Lisa ended up coming down with the flu the morning of our dinner. Unfortunately, we didn't get to celebrate with her this year, so we'll have to do it extra big next year!

On actual Thanksgiving, we didn't have to be to our first destination until noon, so we relaxed all morning and got our packing done.

I ordered the girls matching turkey shirts a few weeks ago, so we had to get a picture of them in their adorable Thanksgiving gear:

While I finished packing, Grace made sure to do Cash's hair to "make him beauteefullll":

Once we were ready to go, we headed to Grandma & Grandpa Espejo's house for our first dinner of the day.

Grace enjoyed a soda while Daddy and Charley chatted with the family:

Once dinner was ready, we all sat around to enjoy a delicious meal:

Charley and Presley played while we cleaned up afterwards. Charley really liked Presley's hair:

(Grace says Charley was just trying to put Presley's hair in a ponytail.)

Soon after, it was time to head to Poppa and Gran Tackett's for another meal.

This one was just as good. I'm so glad I finally came around to liking Thanksgiving food:

We hung out for a while, and Grace helped Poppa make dessert:

You can't have a Happy Thanksgiving until someone dunks their head in the gravy bowl:

Grace practiced drawing her name and really impressed me. (I obviously did the G to show her how to trace it, but she did the rest all on her own!):

Finally, it was time to head up to the cabin. The girls couldn't be more excited for their road trip:

We put on the new movie, Brave, and they both fell right to sleep. It was a quick drive up there, and we were so ready for a mini-vacation.

Pictures coming soon...

I say this every year, but I am so very thankful for all of our families. They mean the world to us, and we wouldn't know what to do without any of them.

I am also thankful that college basketball season is here.

I am thankful for wonderful friends that are like family to us.

I am thankful to live in the best neighborhood with the most awesome neighbors you'll ever find.

I am thankful that Isaac and I both have good jobs to provide for our girls.

I am thankful that Isaac and my parents are all such amazing grandparents (our girls are so lucky).

I am MOST thankful for Isaac, Grace, and Charley who bless my life every day and make me a better person.

I am thankful.

Happy Thanksgiving!
