Last Week...

...we took the girls to Mikel's Fine Art Photography to get some Santa pictures taken. He does such a great job, and you have to bring toys for Toys for Tots instead of paying a sitting fee. Such an awesome idea! Grace was a little upset that it was taking us so long to get to Santa. Charley, on the other hand, wanted nothing to do with him.

...I got one of the images that night, since they posted it on Facebook, and I get to pick up the prints next week. So cute. I am already planning on taking them again next year (and hoping that Charley is a willing participant by then).

...Presley (and Zacarias and Stefanie) came over to play on Monday and watch the Bears game.

...the girls practiced their ho ho ho's while we drove to dinner.

...we finally got our carpets cleaned, so we had to spend a lot of time on the couch while waiting for them to dry.

...since we had to move all of our furniture off the carpet, Grace and Charley had fun climbing through it all and making forts. Then, I went in the bathroom to check on them and snuck this video.

...the girls had a blast chasing each other around the house with flashlights...weirdos. They kept turning out all of the lights.

...Mommy got an afternoon break to get her nails done. Love them!

...when I got home, Grace was exhausted and cuddled up on my lap to snuggle. She passed out instantly and slept through the whole night.

...Charley played Monkey Math School on the iPad while sister slept.

...the girls got to hang out with Santa and Mrs. Claus all afternoon at school. They read them stories and sang Christmas songs. Grace loved it, while Charley obviously wasn't too impressed.

...the girls got all ready to head up to Utah Friday morning.

...Charley learned how to climb in and out of her crib. I guess it's time to turn it into a toddler bed...or just a full size bed and move them upstairs into their own room. I keep saying that it's going to happen soon, but I'm just not ready for that yet. I can't imagine them sleeping upstairs all alone. Charley has to get the stairs down a little better first.

...we spent the weekend in the snow with our awesome neighbors, the Sebastians.

...we made the best dinner ever on Sunday...grilled cheese with tomato soup. Somehow, I had totally forgotten about this meal. I think we'll be eating it multiple times this next week, because it was delicious.

...Grace is now three-and-a-half. Where does the time go? Happy Half Birthday, Grace Face!

See you next week :)
