Showering the Little Peanut

This past weekend, we had a baby shower at our house for one of the best couples ever. Kasie and Jeremy are expecting a little boy in just ten weeks!

We are so excited for them (and of course for us, because who doesn't love babies?!).

Jeremy's mom and dad flew in along with his brother and his family, and Kasie's parents went all out throwing the perfect shower for them.

Since Kasie loves elephants, we decided to go with a baby animal/jungle sort of theme. Linda, Bethany, and I spent a lot of time going back and forth and trying to get everything together. It turned out to be so awesome and really special because almost everything was handmade.

Kasie's mom made the cutest giraffe, and her dad made an awesome palm tree out of pineapples. They also put together some vine to string across the living room, and everyone brought little baby items to hang on it.

We came up with some fun games like What Baby Item Starts with... and Match the Celebrity Couple to Their Baby.

We made the cutest favors to thank guests for showering the little peanut.

Kasie's brother, Randy, and Rob made an adorable elephant cake that was thee most delicious chocolate cake with chocolate chips, ganache and pudding. (Can you say heaven?!)

We also got the cutest baby animal cake pops you've ever seen, made a mini version of the palm tree for the fruit salad, grabbed some sandwiches, and made some baby blue punch.

Everyone started arriving right on time. We all enjoyed some lunch, chatted away, and had a blast with the games. Linda even got some baby bottles full of beer to get the guys involved. Everyone had such a fun time celebrating the upcoming arrival of baby Jakson.

The kids had a blast jumping in Gracie's bed and playing with all of their princesses. So cute!

We made sure to get pictures of Kasie with everyone, too.

Finally, it was time to shower the parents-to-be with more baby items than they will ever know what to do with. It was so much fun watching Kasie open each gift and hearing everyone ooh and ahh over the adorableness of it all.

The shower was so much fun. Jeremy, Kasie, and mostly Baby Jakson are loved by so many wonderful people. Now all that's left is to wait for the little guy to make his appearance, and we.can't.wait.

Love you guys, and Congratulations again!!
