Picture of the Week: Playing in the Back Yard while Daddy Does Yard Work Isaac started doing some work in the back yard, and the first step was to get rid of all the rock and most of the plants back there. The girls were such good helpers and even helped him shovel the rock into the wheelbarrow. Perry snacked on watermelon and put flowers into water bottles. I told her to stop wasting the water, and she said "it's fine! It's pretty." Allison and I ordered snow cones at work since it was Purple Penguin's 10th anniversary and they were giving out special cups. Perry's class played with a parachute, and it brought back lots of memories from my childhood. The girls had hula hoop contests outside with the Sebastian boys. Picture of the Week: Cereal with this Big Girl Perry was exhausted after school, so we let her nap in the car while Grace and Char rode their bikes out front. We've been trying to eat healthier, and I've found that documenting it holds me a little more accountable.  Wednesday, I made chicken me...

I could hear them out by the tree giggling and peaking around at what had come before they made their way back to bed. Once Isaac, Perry, and I finally got up, we made coffee and waited around for Grace and Char. Now they were getting their beauty sleep, while Perry got to scope out the place. We showed her the stockings, which Santa graciously filled with the coolest Golden Knights goodies including their own official hockey sticks and pucks. The girls came down, and Daddy showed them what a mess Rudolph had made. The girls wanted to go ride their new bikes right away, but we talked them into opening some presents first. Gracie was so excited about her new pet tiger. This girl has been begging us for ...
