Our Last Baby is ONE!!

Image
We made it! Our last baby is one year old. I remember being in the hospital when he was born like it was yesterday. I can close my eyes and be right back in that hospital bed, fighting to keep my eyes open and taking two hour intervals with Isaac. We'd switch off between napping and holding the baby. It felt so good to come home and have our family together. The girls were all enamored with him, and nothing has changed.  This year has gone insanely fast. When we found out we were having a boy after three girls, I was pretty terrified. I had no idea what to expect or how to even dress a boy. I always thought having girls was so fun, because you got to buy them cute clothes and accessories, but having a boy would be so boring in that department. I've found my way, and now I love picking out cute little outfits for him, and don't worry, I've spent just as much on his wardrobe as I always did on the girls! Everyone always asks if having a boy is diffe...

Big Boy {Nine Months Old}

Image
Bro Bro is nine months old! I can't even believe it. He's now been on the outside longer than he was on the inside. He's still the happiest, most smiley baby around. Any time he makes eye contact with any of us, he just lights up, and he has a huge toothy grin now. Kid just got his eighth tooth! He's still drooling like a maniac, and everything he touches goes right in to his mouth. He is currently weighing in at twenty pounds, eight ounces and is twenty-eight and a half inches long. (Grace was 22.5 lbs - Charley was 18.5 lbs - Perry was 18 lbs, they were all 27.5 inches) He is wearing mostly twelve month sizes in clothing and is between size two and three in shoes. He's still in size four diapers and will be for a while. Brother has finally started eating pureed baby foods but only by the pouch. He doesn't want you to feed him with a spoon, because that's baby stuff. His favorite is Happy Baby's banana, sweet potato, and papaya. H...

The Smiliest Guy {Seven Months Old}

Image
Our little smiley guy is seven months old today. We're on the downhill slope to his first birthday, and I'm not sure I'm ready for it. I'm not going to lie. I couldn't wait for him to get to this age. Isaac was so paranoid about every sound and movement the baby made after his first boy was born, that he had me paranoid, too. First, we were worried that he wasn't making eye contact. Then he wasn't smiling. Then he didn't laugh out loud. I remember thinking when he was teeny tiny that I couldn't wait for him to be bigger, so I knew that he was OK. Well, guess what? He's just fine and does all of those things plus more. He also tries to talk to us in long sing-song noises, but he hasn't made any distinct mama or dada sounds just yet.  This big boy can sit up on his own now, which is so fun. He loves to sit on the floor and play with his toys, and he lights up when you call him "big boy". When he's on his belly on ...

Our Favorite Thing {Six Months Old}

Image
We're halfway through Brother's first year, and I'm not sure how we got here. Maybe it's because I'm mostly a mombie (that's a zombie mixed with a mom that's getting minimal sleep for those that don't know) lately, but I feel like we were just gearing up to head to the hospital to welcome a baby boy to the family. I blinked, and he's six months old. Like, what? He's the best. Seriously. He just looks at anyone he meets and gives them the biggest grin. All of the guys at work come in to my office and talk to him and then die when he smiles at them. They say, "I can't believe he smiles at me every time! He must like me!", but he really does that with everyone. He's just the sweetest. He's laughing a little bit more here and there, but we're still waiting on that big belly laugh. Right now it's just little giggles and super loud squeals. He's rolling back and forth with ease and will roll across the room...

Last Week...

Image
Picture of the Week: Grace's 2019 Soccer Picture Monday started with Brother's typical nap at the office. He was so happy, and I even got some excited squeals out of him. People posted our nourishing baby picture on their Instagram. So cool! Perry had dance class, and always looks so cute. You can frequently find Grace, Charley, and me watching her through the window and giggling at her excitement. I came across this, and it really put Jeff Bezos' fortune in to perspective for me. Still number one in my Fantasy Football league. Whoop whoop! Brother napped at work some more. He loves to watch his big sisters, and Perry loves when he smiles at her. She'll do the same thing over and over again, until he's over it. She is super ticklish, and I love her deep belly laughs. We stopped by the Hall's house to meet Baby Addy, and she was so tiny and sweet. Congrats, Alex and Allison! She...
