The Old Pintura Pond
This past weekend, we took a much needed break from Vegas and went up the the cabin to enjoy some amazingly beautiful weather with my mom, Rick, Jeni, and Allison. Friday night we ate dinner at one of our favorite places, Buffalo Bistro. They serve the oddest food (like rattlesnake tails, boar ribs, and rocky mountain oysters), but they have the best steak you'll ever eat!! After dinner we just hung out watching the first season of Lost and then went to bed early.
Saturday morning, we all woke up and us kids went for a ride while mom watched Gracie. We saw some gorgeous views.
Jeni and Me goofed off a little bit.
Allison and Isaac rode the quad.
Grandma got Gracie a little purse that sings with cute little girly things inside. She played with it while we were on our ride and liked her bracelet and the crinkly money the best.
When we got back, we decided to make some breakfast. We were going to cook up this little ham, but she wouldn't cooperate.
After breakfast, we all got ready and headed into town for some supplies. Grace finally got to wear this little poodle outfit. We got it from one of my mom and Rick's friends before Gracie was born, and it's one of my favorite outfits of hers.
After we went to town, we had a delicious dinner of rotisserie chicken, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, and carrots and celery. Everyone pitched in to help cook, so it was extra delicious!
It started raining, so we sat on the balcony and watched some deer that walked up from the pond to eat some grass while dinner finished cooking.
Afterward, Isaac had some hot chocolate while we went back to watching Lost.
Sunday morning, we got up early and got ready to go home. While we waiting for everyone else, we played with Gracie the Giraffe.
On the way home from the cabin, we stopped in Pintura to visit Grandma and Grandpa Smith. I used to come here with my mom all the time when I was little, so I thought it would be really cool to take some pictures by the old Pintura pond.
We had such a beautiful, relaxing weekend, and it was great to see Grandma and Grandpa! I can't wait for the winter to come so we can go up there a lot more.
