A Rockin' Fiesta
Since Perry was born on Cinco de Mayo, she's pretty much stuck with that party theme for life. Her birthday fell on a Saturday this year, which was perfect for an all out fiesta. We got lots of balloons, carne asada, and margaritas, and I even made her birthday cake all by myself!
While I made margaritas, Daddy worked on the food, and it looked so delicious.
Everyone ate a ton, and the kids had a blast jumping on the trampoline, while the grown-ups played a few games of flip cup and beer pong.
Soon, it was piñata time. Perry got to go first, and she loved swinging the huge stick. After her, we went in order from smallest to biggest of the kids, and they all had so much fun.
Charley was able to take a leg off on her turn.
Of course Easton busted the whole thing wide open, and then the kids went crazy.
We had the best time celebrating with everyone.
It was finally time for cake, and Perry wasn't sure what to think when everyone started singing "Happy Birthday" to her. She blew her candle out, and I helped her pick it up to lick the icing off.
This crazy kid thought the candle was candy and tried eating it. I had to take it away pretty quickly and swap it out for a piece of cake.
The kids played, the adults played, and we all had the best time.
We ended the night binge-eating guacamole, which is the best way to end a night, in my opinion.
Happy Second Birthday, Perr! Some day you're going to want a different party theme, but until then, we'll be celebrating Cinco de Mayo with a rockin' fiesta!
