The Mom Club - Level II

Charley Girl is now three months old: Can I just say that it will never stop amazing me to see how fast babies change? Just look where the top of her head is now compared to where it was when she was born! Since she came into our lives, things have definitely gotten more interesting. When I had Grace, I felt like I had finally joined the "mom" club. Now that I've got two rugrats, I feel like I've been promoted to the more experienced, less "I freak out when my kid sneezes" level. I feel like a totally different mom. Almost like the first time was a dream, and now I'm smack in the middle of life as a mother. I wouldn't change it for the world, though. Seeing these two chickens hug and hold hands melts me into to a huge soppy puddle of love. I've learned how to take both kids to the store (a huge fear of mine before baby #2), and we've adapted to feeding, bathing, and entertaining two kids. It's definitely a lot of fun, b...

Say Hello to My Little Friend

Isaac's dad gave him a gun for his 21st birthday. It came in extra handy, because we had someone call our house and cuss me out in a whisper in the middle of the night one time. I was terrified to stay at home alone ever again, but having a gun around helped. He taught us each how to handle it, and what to do if something happened. Isaac took a while, but he finally got his concealed weapons permit this past year. Our next step was picking out a gun for me. I wasn't 100% sure that I wanted my own, but now that I've got Grace, it's definitely a good idea. We go a lot of places alone together, and it's better to be safe than sorry. Last week, we stopped over to visit Isaac's dad, and he told us about this awesome new gun they had at the gun shop he works at. We decided to go check it out. It was beautiful, so we knew we had to get it. After discussing it for a while, we came home with this little beauty: The picture really doesn't do it justice....

Last Week...

Picture of the Week: Breakfast with These Goofballs Monday morning, Perry woke up with the best bed head and copied Charley's dance moves, while I got ready for work. Grace brought home some stories that she wrote at school, and she was SO proud of them. Perry splashed around in the tub and blew bubbles in the water at bath time. She looked so sweet all wrapped up in her towel afterwards. Some more thunderstorms rolled in on Tuesday, so we played outside as the rain came down. The girls didn't care at all and were right out playing in it. We went to Charley's soccer practice as the rain stopped for a while. Perry ate gummy bears to keep her occupied. This girl just wants to follow her sisters on to the field and play with them. Grace had me cracking up when she stole Daddy's hat and thought she was so cool.
