Our First Day

Isaac and I have been together for almost eight years now, and although that seems like forever we are only just beginning our life together.  September 5, 2009 was our official first day as one.  We had the most amazing wedding of all time, and I can't believe it has come and gone already.  I remember sitting next to each other in Ms. Furlow's earth science class in seventh grade.  Isaac kept me laughing and would pick on me constantly (and I had the biggest crush on him).  We ended up "going out" for about two weeks before he dumped me because I would not kiss him.  It's hard to believe that it was already more than ten years ago!!  The first day of sophomore year at Foothill High School we were given assigned seats in our Spanish class.  Guess who was seated right behind me?  It didn't take long before we were dating again, and as they say, the rest is history :) Here are some of our favorite pictures from our absolutely beautif...

Last Week...

Picture of the Week: Happy Mother's Day! Charley finally got to hold the baby chicks at school, and she couldn't stop talking about them for the rest of the day. The Sharks tweeted that they scored as many goals in one game as the Kings did in their entire series with us. The Kings clapped back with the best response: "and then what happened?". Of course we all know what happened, the Knights beat the Sharks and sent them packing, too. On the way home from checking the mail, we had to stop to let these little baby quail cross the street. They were so adorable and tiny. We got Gracie's soccer pictures back, and girlfriend looks so grown up and beautiful. These are my favorite soccer pictures we've ever gotten of her. We love the girls on her team so much. Most of them go to school with her and are even in her class, so it's nice that they get to play together. That night, the Washington Capitals beat ...

Mud Party

We had a pretty crazy summer thunderstorm last week that transformed our street into a muddy river. I got home just before the downpour, but I could totally see it coming. We watched from the windows at first, because it was just nuts out there. Grace has been teaching Char the "It's Raining" song, and she's starting to pick it up, so we sang that while watching it pour.  (Char recently started saying, "Oh meee gosh", and it's literally the cutest thing ever . I kind of got it at the very beginning of this video.) The grade behind our house is higher than our yard, so the water was just pouring through the joints of our block wall. It was also hailing like crazy and almost looked like it had snowed in our front yard. When it calmed down a bit, we decided to head outside to check out the damage. Our entire street was a muddy mess. We didn't last out there for too long, because this storm just kept rebuilding and circling back...
