The Best Thing We Could Have Done

Happy Half-Birthday, Charley! It's hard to believe the little stinker is already six months old. She's got two bottom teeth and two top teeth. She can fully sit up, move around to get her toys, and get up on all fours. It won't be long before she's crawling around. She can stand on her own while holding onto something for support. She easily rolls back and forth from tummy to back and vice versa. She uses her feet to push her forward while on her tummy. She's pretty good at getting whatever she's after, and is easily able to put everything in her mouth. She likes peaches and pears (when they're warm). At her six month wellness check-up, Charley weighed in at fifteen pounds and four ounces. (That's four whole pounds less than Grace weighed at this age!) She is twenty-five inches long. ...the girls played with Daddy when he got home from work. They both always run to the door when they hear the lock turn, because he's the funnest!     ...Grace Facetimed with Sookie.     ...Char was the biggest snuggle bug ever and even fell asleep holding Mommy's hand.     ...the girls made witch cupcakes at Grammy's on Wednesday.     ...Charley is One-and-a-Half !   ...we had an awesome Halloween with friends, family, and neighbors.   ...Charley ate fruit snacks and came to sit by me so we could share. Last Week...

...Grace smothered Charley in kisses: ...we goofed off at home while waiting for Daddy to get off work: ...Linzi, Stefanie, and Presley met us for dinner at Johnny Mac's to catch up. Charley fell asleep on the way and was kind of cranky/tired/teething the whole time (so fun) . It was so good to see Linzi, though. She's pregnant and was totally glowing: ...I snapped a few shots of the babies when I woke up, because Charley always wakes up with this goofy smile, while Grace hates waking up and looked so angelic just sleeping there. I can't help myself: ...Grace had what may be her final swim lesson. Girl is good in the pool, and we're totally ready for gymnastics now that she's almost three.
