...Grace smothered Charley in kisses: ...we goofed off at home while waiting for Daddy to get off work: ...Linzi, Stefanie, and Presley met us for dinner at Johnny Mac's to catch up. Charley fell asleep on the way and was kind of cranky/tired/teething the whole time (so fun) . It was so good to see Linzi, though. Last Week...

...the girls got really excited when I told them we were stopping by Starbucks on the way to school. We used to go every morning, and they'd always get a croissant, but I had to give it up due to frequent migraines. I love the way Char says "croissant", so I made her keep saying it over and over. ...we met the Unertls at Grimaldi's for dinner on Monday and had fun pretending like it was a Friday night dinner and they still lived here. ...the girls insisted on driving by the "dinosaur house" on the way home from school Tuesday. ...Noah taught Grace how to play baseball, and she hit the ball on her first try. ...we went to dinner at Ventano with my family, and Chase was obsessed with the girls' Sulley headphones. KC in the Kitchen

For the past few weeks, Kasie and I have been trying out new recipes every Friday night. We look through cookbooks and search online for recipes that sound delicious. Someday, we are going to have our very own cooking show called 'KC in the Kitchen' on the Food Network, so make sure you keep yours eyes out for it so you can TiVo us! This week we decided to try out some seafood. I have this awesome cookbook that has recipes for every season. One of the winter recipes is for Sole with Lemon Butter Sauce. Looks amazing, right? We decided to make some grilled veggies to go with it. We marinated those in lemon juice, olive oil, and fresh basil. Isaac was in charge of those. Kasie chopped up the lemons to go on top of the fish. I watched them to make sure they didn't burn. The Sole turned out pretty good. I wasn't a huge fan due to the muddy taste. It sort of resembled catfish, but it looked pretty :) We need to get some matching aprons so we look real...
