Isaac's dad gave him a gun for his 21st birthday. It came in extra handy, because we had someone call our house and cuss me out in a whisper in the middle of the night one time. I was terrified to stay at home alone ever again, but having a gun around helped. He taught us each how to handle it, and what to do if something happened. Isaac took a while, but he finally got his concealed weapons permit this past year. Our next step was picking out a gun for me. I wasn't 100% sure that I wanted my own, but now that I've got Grace, it's definitely a good idea. We go a lot of places alone together, and it's better to be safe than sorry. Last week, we stopped over to visit Isaac's dad, and he told us about this awesome new gun they had at the gun shop he works at. We decided to go check it out. It was beautiful, so we knew we had to get it. After discussing it for a while, we came home with this little beauty: The picture really doesn't do it justice....

Our usual Mother's Day tradition of walking around Art Fest on Water Street wasn't going to happen, so we decided to spend the day at home instead. Grace loved watching these beautiful wind chimes twirl around. Charley was interested in some ladybug sculptures and shared Auntie's lemonade. We got snow cones and made our way to the indoor portion quickly. It was so super hot! Papa Rick even came, so of course Gracie got spoiled. One of my favorite parts every year is the artists drawing such detailed pictures with ch...

We used to go every morning, and they'd always get a croissant, but I had to give it up due to frequent migraines. I love the way Char says "croissant", so I made her keep saying it over and over. ...we met the Unertls at Grimaldi's for dinner on Monday and had fun pretending like it was a Friday night dinner and they still lived here. ...the girls insisted on driving by the "dinosaur house" on the way home from school Tuesday. ...Noah taught Grace how to play baseball, and she hit the ball on her first try. ...we went to dinner at Ventano with my family, and Chase was obsessed with the girls' Sulley headphones. As usual, Grace and Charley got giant bowls of ice cream with all the fixings. ...we had dance class Wednesday. Char has fun doing her own thing most of the time as she's the youngest one in...
