This Week...

...Grace got to try pears for the first time!! She realllly enjoyed them.



...my mom took Gracie shopping. I always go pick her up at my mom's when I get off work at noon. This time, I had to go to the DMV after work, so mom took Gracie to the mall with her. This is how I found her when I met up with them:



Don't let that picture fool you...she was having a blast with Grammy!



...Gracie had a lot of fun when Kasie and Jeremy came over for Jambalaya!



...she laughed at Aunt Allison and learned to scream in excitement.



...I remembered that I made some homemade hot chocolate mix last year and started drinking a cup of it almost every night! It's extra delicious in the winter.



Next week is the Christmas Party! Soo excited :)

...Char was sleeping so peacefully Monday morning that I didn't want to wake her up. ...she made me a pretty picture at school with chalk. ...she continued her obsession with the easel and colored (and watched Toy Story ) while waiting for Daddy to get home from work. Mommy-Daughter Night

Thursday night, Isaac went to play poker with some of Sunstate's biggest customers (and soon to be customers). Since he left around 4:30 and didn't come home until well after Grace and I were asleep, we got to have a whole mommy-daughter night! I get to spend every night with her, but having quality time with just the two of us is pretty rare. This means that nights alone with mom get to be extra special treats for both of us! When Daddy left, Grace asked "ah da da?" about one hundred times. Once she got over the fact that he was gone, we had a lot of fun. We started the night out watching Wall-E and building castles out of Mega Blocks. Then, Grace helped me unload the dishwasher while our dinner finished cooking: She's the best helper ever! Junior Ranger Day

Saturday was Junior Ranger Day at the Water Safety Center at Lake Mead.   Isaac's brother, Zacarias, was working and invited us to come down and check it out.   We're always up for anything that the girls might have fun at, so we got ready and headed down to the lake. It was right next to where my parents dock their boat, so it was pretty easy to find.   When we first got there, Grace was a little shy and skeptical about everything. It took her a while to warm up.   We found Uncle Zac by the fire truck and Grace hesitantly climbed inside with him:     She was a little afraid until I took her to the front of the trucks and showed her the lights.
