Traditions and Choc-O-lattes

We started a new tradition a couple of years ago to go look at Christmas lights the weekend before Christmas with the Ditatas.

This year was ExTrA special because Gracie got to come along.

We stopped at Starbucks to get some hot chocolates (pronounced: choc-O-lattes) and went to visit our favorite festive neighborhood.

Right behind Ventano is a cul-de-sac that really goes AlL out. We're talking themes, wrapping power boxes up like presents, and decorating light poles.

Grace was especially excited about checking these lights out:

The night before, Isaac and I noticed tons of lights in the neighborhood across from ours. We drove over to check it out and they had lights strung from house to house on all of the streets:

This house was pretty cool:

And I ReAlLy liked the big, red ornaments on this tree:

But...my FaVs are always the bright, colorful houses. The new LED lights really made a lot of houses POP this year. They're so much more vibrant:

I love this tradition and especially like spending this memorable time with the Ditatas! Each year the lights get better and better. I can't wait to see what we come across next year!!
