This Week...

...we went to Grandpa and Grandma Espejo's for a Memorial Day barbecue where Grace played with bubbles for the first time:



She got to wear her cute little red, white, and blue outfit for the special occasion:


...Grace slept really well all week:


...she fed Daddy puffs while we waited for our dinner at Jason's Deli:


We had a great Saturday spending time with our friends.

...Isaac and I took Grace and Cash for a walk one evening while the weather was nice:


...Grace was a lot more cuddly than usual and even fell asleep on my lap:


Next week we're headed to Nashville for our long awaited vacation!

...Char was sleeping so peacefully Monday morning that I didn't want to wake her up. ...she made me a pretty picture at school with chalk. ...she continued her obsession with the easel and colored (and watched Toy Story ) while waiting for Daddy to get home from work. Mommy-Daughter Night

Thursday night, Isaac went to play poker with some of Sunstate's biggest customers (and soon to be customers). Since he left around 4:30 and didn't come home until well after Grace and I were asleep, we got to have a whole mommy-daughter night! I get to spend every night with her, but having quality time with just the two of us is pretty rare. This means that nights alone with mom get to be extra special treats for both of us! When Daddy left, Grace asked "ah da da?" about one hundred times. Once she got over the fact that he was gone, we had a lot of fun. We started the night out watching Wall-E and building castles out of Mega Blocks. Then, Grace helped me unload the dishwasher while our dinner finished cooking: She's the best helper ever! We had pasta, corn, garlic bread, and cut up Beddar Cheddar brats for dinner; some of Grace's favorite things: After that it was bath time.  Once she got all clean, we played with her Dora foam soap. Junior Ranger Day

Saturday was Junior Ranger Day at the Water Safety Center at Lake Mead.   Isaac's brother, Zacarias, was working and invited us to come down and check it out.   We're always up for anything that the girls might have fun at, so we got ready and headed down to the lake. It was right next to where my parents dock their boat, so it was pretty easy to find.   When we first got there, Grace was a little shy and skeptical about everything. It took her a while to warm up.   We found Uncle Zac by the fire truck and Grace hesitantly climbed inside with him:     She was a little afraid until I took her to the front of the trucks and showed her the lights. Then she thought it was "sooo cool!"       Charley was pretty curious and kept wanting to check everything out:       Grace saw Uncle's helmet and thought that was pretty neat.
